Sri Brahma-samhita

I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, the first proginitor who is tending the cows, yielding all desire in abodes built with spiritual gems, surrounded by millions of purpose trees, and always served with great reverence and affection by hundreds and thousands of Lakshmis or Gopis.

I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who is adept in playing on his flute, with blooming eyes like lotus-petals, with head decked with peacock's feather, with the figure of beauty tinged with the hue of blue clouds, and his unique loveliness
charming millions of Cupids.

I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, round whose neck is swinging a garland of flowers beautified with the moon locket, whose two hands are adorned with the flute and jeweled ornaments, who always revels in pastimes of love, whose graceful threefold- bending form of Syamasundara is eternally manifest.

I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, whose transcendental form is full of bliss, truth, substantiality, and is thus full of the most dazzling splendour. Each of the limbs of that transcendental figure possesses in Himself, the full-fledged functions of all the organs, and eternally sees, maintains, and manifests the infinite universe, both spiritual and mundane.

The Pancha Tattva
Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in Mayupur, India, in the town of Nadia, on Febuary 18 1486. There is no difference between the teachings of Lord Chaitanya and the teachings of Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita. Lord Chaitanya, also known as The Golden Avatar, re-established the doctrine of Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion) as the topmost means for attaining love of God. The teachings of Lord Chaitanya are non-sectarian, accessible to all casts and creeds, regardless of religious affiliation, and are available to men, women, and children alike. Lord Chaitanya propounded personalism and our eternal relationship with Lord Krishna, culminating in loving devotion, enacted in the spiritual kingdom since time immemorial. Due to the illusory nature of this material realm we have forgotten our eternal existence. Although He is considered non-different to Krishna, Lord Chaitanya advented Himself as a devotee of Lord Krishna, in order to propagate the Hare Krishna maha mantra as the sublime means of emancipation in this present age of quarrel and hypocracy.
This site is dedicated to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977), my eternal siksha guru and representative of the disciplic succession coming from Lord Chaitanya and Lord Krishna. Srila Prabhupada departed India at age 69, bound for the United States, determined to fulfill the order of His spiritual master, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Goswami Prabhupada, who 43 yeara earlier, in 1922, had requested Srila Prabhupada to travel to the western world with the message of Sanatana Dharma (Krishna consciousness). In 1965, after a six week journey courtesy of free passage on board a steamship, Srila Prabhupada arrived in New York City, with only 40 rupees, a trunk load of books, and the desire to disseminate spiritual culture to a misdirected civilization. During the following 12 years, despite advanced age, Srila Prabhupada circled the globe 14 times, opening 108 temples, and establishing schools, restaurants, and rural communities dedicated to establishing Vedic ideals of simple living and high thinking. Srila Prabhupada similtaneously wrote over 70 books and commentaries on the vedic literatures.
Some of the information in this site is not wholly representative of the sublime transcendence of Srila Prabhupada and the Acharyas, but rather of my own formative steps toward higher consciousness and awareness. It is part resource, part diary, and part entertainment, as I move forward in small increments in my personal relationship with Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna. It is also aimed at showing people in general that higher realms of understanding are readily available for those with the heart and mind to enquire beyond sectarian prejudice. I pray that my efforts will in some small way be pleasing to Srila Prabhupada and the devotees.     Rakshana das
